You’ve decided to learn spanish because you want to communicate in the language. It could be for fun, for work, or to just learn more about the Spanish community. So you must also know how to ask and answer basic questions in Spanish! One of the very first things you need to be able to do when meeting someone new is introduce yourself and ask their name. Today we’ll be learning spanish vocabulary to help you do this politely in Spanish.
Having these simple conversation starters down pat will help you make a solid first impression and open the door to further dialogue. Let’s get started!

Notes to remember:
- Use formal questions for elders, authorities, or unknown adults out of respect.
- The informal forms apply to friends, family, children, etc.
